I LOVE mexican, but I can't go anywhere without them LOADING the seasonings and heading home feeling bloated from the excess sodium. So this Taco Salad is where it's at ;)
The goods you'll be needing:
1 lb ground turkey or grass fed beef
shredded lettuce
1/2 green and red pepper
1/4 small onion
Mrs Dash seasoning of choice! {I used Fiesta Lime}
plain 0% Fage greek yogurt
organic salsa
organic cheese
tortilla chips {optional}
1/4 avocado
1 cup black beans
How it goes down:
1. Prepare meat in a skillet on medium heat. Add salt, pepper and Mrs Dash seasonings as needed
2. Add in chopped onion and peppers, and beans
3. Place shredded lettuce on the bottom of your plate
4. Add meat, bean and pepper mixture on top
5. Top with 2 tablespoons cheese, cut up avocado, a few tablespoons of salsa and a dollup of greek yogurt on top for that sour cream feel!
6. If you're feeling frisky, add a few organic corn tortilla chips crushed {my hubby's fave part}
7. ENJOY!
